puzzle:
there is 1 bulb in a closed room and 3 switches located outside the room.u have the option of going into the room only once.how will u determine which switch is for the bulb?
Switch ON the 1st switch. After sometime switch OFF it and ON the 2nd one. Now go into the room. If the bulb glows its the 2nd switch. Else touch the bulb. If its hot its the 1st switch. Else its the 3rd switch.
ReplyDeletefirst switch on any one of the light.. wait for few seconds then switch off.. then press another switch on... now u have to enter the room and if the bulb one by one if u have pressed the first switch then the bulb would have been heat feel and find it.. if that does not work.. second switch will ignite the bulb as u hav entered.. if that too doesnot work out then the switch which u have not pressed is right one which is the last option left out

If the bulb doesn't glow, I will touch and feel the heat of the bulb. If its hot, then 1st switch is the right switch.
But if the bulb is cold, then 3rd switch is the right switch.
first we want to switch on the first bulb for 10 to 20 minutes and switch off the 1st and turn on the second switch.enter into the room now.if the bulb was heat then it will be the first switch otherwise second one if bulb glows.both was not happened means then the 3rd switch will be the right one....
ReplyDeleteOn the 1st switch for 10 min and off it, then On the 2nd switch, get enter the room, touch and feel the bulb, if it get warm then 1st switch is for bulb, else glow means 2nd switch and no reaction means 3rd switch...

Answer:
1. If the bulb is OFF but warm when touched, it is switch no 1 that corresponds to the bulb.
2. If the bulb is ON, it is switch no 2.
3. If the bulb is OFF, it corresponds to switch no 3
It is actually simple.. I will first put a switch on and wait for 5 minutes. Thena again put on the next switch and open the room.. if the bulb is glowing then it is the switch that i put nw or if its not glowing i will touch the bulb and check if its hot or cold. if it is hot the previous first switch is the right one. If its cold the last untouched switch is the right one.
ReplyDeleteInitially switch on the first switch and after ten minutes switch off it and now switch on the second switch and go inside the room and if the bulb is glowing then bulb connected to second switch else its connected to 1st or 3rd.now,touch the bulb if its hot then the bulb is connected to 1st switch if its not hot its connected to third switch.
ReplyDeleteTurn on the first switch. Leave it on for a minute, then turn it off. Turn on the second switch and then enter the room. If the light is on, the second switch controls the bulb. If it is off but the bulb is warm, it is the first switch. If it is off and the bulb is cool, it is the third switch.

switch on SW1 for five to ten min and turn off. switch on SW2 and enter the room.....if bulb is glowing,SW2 is right....if not,touch the bulb, if it is hot then SW1 is right.... else SW3 is right.

ReplyDelete1.Put "ON" the first switch and wait outside the room for few minutes (Say 5 min)
2.Then switch that off and switch on the second one.
3.Now Enter the room and see whether the bulb glows.
4.If the bulb glows the its the second one, if not touch the bulb with your hands and see whether it is hot, if it is then the answer is the second one, and finally if the bulb is cool then the third switch is the correct one.

First I will be putting 1st switch. I ll let the switch on for 10 mins and then I ll switch off and then I ll put switch 2 and I ll be immediately going inside the room. If the bulb glows then it is switch 2
